Based in Houston, Dwane Ruiz is a Partner and a member of the firm’s Industrial, CEO, Board of Directors, and Leadership Advisory practices.

Prior to Allen Austin, Dwane spent forty+ years as a senior executive in the industrial manufacturing and services sector. Dwane has a proven track record in all aspects of operations, manufacturing, engineering, product development, and business development. Dwane has a reputation of leading by example and establishing a culture of transparency, trust, and accountability.

Known as a consummate servant leader, Dwane is known for enabling passionate teams and driving peak performance cultures. He is a master at assessing organizational strengths and weaknesses, building cohesive leadership teams, and ensuring continuity of communications from the board room to the shop floor. Well versed in Six Sigma, Lean, ISO and common sense, Dwane is a creative, strategic and possibility thinker, committed to safe, diverse, inclusive high-performance cultures.

Dwane’s practice includes advising on all phases of mergers, acquisitions, and integrations. Operational excellence, orderly succession planning to achieve scale, manufacturing process design, synergy recognition, culture shaping, and measurement systems are hallmarks of his practice. Dwane serves as interim CEO, Project Director, M&A Investment Advisor and Operations Advisor to organizations with revenues up to $2 billion and head count more than 2000.

Dwane became a fan of Allen Austin in 2014 when the firm placed him as Senior Vice President of Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations at Aegion. Dwane had global responsibilities as SVP and GM of Aegion’s Corrpro Company the largest corrosion protection service organization in the world. While at Corrpro Dwane became an Allen Austin search and leadership coaching client. Prior to joining the Allen Austin team, Dwane had been a regular speaker and contributor at the firm’s annual Partner conferences.

Dwane lives in Houston with his wife of 50 years with two children and four grandchildren. Dwane and his wife have been active in the community as well as in their church where Dwane serves as Deacon and Discipleship Leader.
